Athletes on TVP 16s team gained extensive experience playing at the 2016 USAV Boys Junior National Championships in Dallas, TX. During a four day period (July 1-4), the team played more matches (14) and more sets (34) than any other team in any division at the championships. Though down two players due to injury (who showed resilience with their support from the bench), the remaining eight rostered players powered their way to a 7-7 match record (34-34 set record). Congratulations to TVP 16s and Coaches Sani and Malinauskas for finishing the season with a gutty performance!
It's a goal for teams to finish higher than their initial seed. It's an achievement for a team to finish 15 spots higher than it's initial seed. It's an experience when a team has the opportunity to compete in a national tournament with and against some of the best volleyball athletes of the same age. The TVP 18s moved up from the #44 seed to finish at #29 (of 77 teams competing) in the club division at the 2016 USAV Boys Junior National Championships in Dallas, TX. Highlights include match wins against teams from Southern California, Arizona, Utah, St. Louis, and Texas. Good work by Coach Moyer and the team!
